TreeSize Professional - view the distribution of files and folders on the hard disk
If you have used the computer for a very long time, then probably you have a lot of files and folders stored on your computer. Sometimes, it's really difficult to manage the space occupied by all of them and that's why you may be wondering where all your free hard disk space gets to. Windows doesn't have a tool for displaying the space taken by files or folders in a reliable way, so you should install a separate application for this. You could use the TreeSize Professional program for this purpose.
This simple Windows application allows you to manage your hard disk space, being able to display the space occupied by every file and folder. Installing the program is a very simple task and using it is also very easy. After running the program, the user will need to select the folder or hard disk partition that should be analyzed. After completing this step, the program will begin the scanning process.
After the scanning process is complete, TreeSize Professional will display all the folders and files according to the space occupied by them. As such, the folder which takes up the most hard disk space will be displayed first. For making it easier to see the distribution of folders and files on the hard disk, the program will display this information as text and also in a graphical way.
By accessing the classical menu, the user can select the level for displaying files. A higher level will make the program display more files and sub-folders. Besides that, the space taken up by folders and files can be displayed either in KB, MB or GB. One is able to print a report regarding the distribution of files and folders on the hard disk, for later analysis.
